Monochrome Valentine’s Day Card

Happy Weekend!

Guess what? I’m off to Creativeworld which is the International trade fair for hobby, craft and art supplies in Frankfurt tomorrow and I can’t wait! I don’t even mind having to leave in the middle of the night at 4.30am – the sacrifices you have to make for your passion!

On to my project for today, do you get stumped with creating masculine Valentine cards? I have to make a few every year and have to think a little harder than I would for feminine ones.  I’ve come up with a simple but effective one this year using a couple of bits from the January box and additions from my stash.

My thought process began with the ceramic looking lock from the box and I wanted to base my card around it.  I picked on a chipboard heart to go with it and coloured it in white before adding the lock.  For my next step I’d already decided on the wording I wanted to use so I printed them out and layered them on black glitter card – must have a little bit of glitter!

I stamped a background with a set of stamps from my stash and added a sentiment.  Then I remembered a recent preloved Lawn Fawn stamp set I’d bought and stamped and die cut a cute heart from that.

The Bubbly Funk boxes are getting better and better with time and really are such good value.  There are also a lot of other very reasonably priced products in the Bubbly Funk shop so please do take a look.

Until next time – enjoy your weekend!
