Good Morning. I hope you are all enjoying the lovely contents of Novembers Through The Letter Box?
I am a massive fan of shaker cards so when I saw the big bag of sequins I knew I just had to make another. With all the blue tones I wanted to make it look wintery.
To make my card I started with a square piece of cardstock and I cut an aperture into it. I then added a piece of plastic to cover the hole. I am not a big fan of using foam tape or squares to hold my sequins in place so instead I cut 5 or 6 square frames and added those to the back. This allows you to have the depth you need to make sure your sequins can move.
I then created my winter scene by blending different coloured blues to create the sky. For the snow banks I used a torn piece of card and inked very lightly over the top to give the illusion of snow drifts. I then stamped the trees in black.
From the kit I also added the die cut “merry” sentiment and the die cut trees are from my own stash.
This is what I love about the kit its that it works perfectly with what you already own.
To finish I added some twine and one of the lovely white jingle bells which are also found in the kit. So when you shake the card to see the sequins move the bell also rings.
