I’ve another project using some of the lovely things from the “Seeing Stars” Through the Letterbox craft box today. and this time it’s a birthday card
I love the wooden stars in this box and have found they take colour really well – this time I’ve painted them with gorgeous Starlights paint, and added a bit of stencilled glitteriness using Sparkle Medium
I’ve used three stencils on this card. The first was the squares one, which is inked with a few aqua shades. Once that was dry I taped the ‘screen’ stencil over the top and used silver Sparkle Medium.
The top stencilled layer is a mix of the aqua Starlights pint and a turquoise Sparkle medium, using the cute Stars stencil from this month’s “Seeing Stars” craft box – I love this stencil and it#s going to pop up all over the place!
I adhered the painted, glittered wooden stars in place, tucking some silver cord behind each one and pulling the ends together at the top of the card. The ends were trimmed and a little white bow from the box adhered over the ends of the cords.
A piece of painted card was used for the banner, and the word “wish” die cut and added with a few tiny pieces of chipboard behind the letters to add some dimension
From the Seeing Stars Letterbox Box I used:
White ribbon box
plain wooden stars
That’s it for this time. Thank you for visiting.
