Flowers and Ribbons

Today I’ve a little Thank You card made  using some of the lovely red and white ribbons, and the sweet felt flower from the  “Love is…” Through the Letterbox  craft box.  The button is also from this box of goodies.

The Letterbox craft boxes cost just £12.50 and  they are stuffed with stash!  Perfect for a non-fattening treat for yourself or a crafty friend

I love the crisp red and white colour combo – it looks so fresh and clean.

Its so easy to use small lengths of ribbons and braids to make a background – I admit its one of my favourite ways to take the scariness away from a lot of ‘white space’.  Even better, you don’t need to use much of your precious ribbon stash 😉  Though actually, there is LOTS of lovely ribbon and trim in this gorgeous red and white box. If you love the stuff, then you’ll need this box.

As for the flower – well, how cute is that?  a sweet felt flower with a ready-sewn edging (so no need for needle phobics to panic).  I just tied a narrow piece of ribbon through the holes  of the button and popped it in the middle of the flower.  I did actually use a needle and thread for that bit, but a good glue would do just as well.

‘Thank you’ is a die cut from a Spellbinders set. I cut it in a red shiny card stock, then adhered in place, using some skinny bits of chipboard to raise it where required

From the “Love is…” Through the Letterbox craft box I used:

Small lengths of some of the ribbon and braid

Felt Flower

Button for flower centre

From my stash: coloured card and die cut

That’s it for this time.

Thank you for visiting.

Happy Crafting
