Waves of change
Hi everyone. Today I’ve been dipping into my Blue Christmas Through the Letterbox craft box to create a shaker card with a sea theme.
It’s always a bonus when your Christmas stash can carry on being used through the year and I love how well these sequins and sparkles combine with these papers.
This is a very simple shaker card. I covered a 7×5 card blank with black card then added this journal card from my stash to the centre.
I then cut some scrapbook paper to size before cutting a rectangle aperture in the middle. I cut a rectangle of black card and die cut a smaller rectangle aperture, adding this to the back of the paper, followed by some clear acetate.
I surrounded the back of my aperture with foam pads, being careful not to leave any gaps. I placed my sparkles onto my journal card before adding the prepared paper/acetate piece over the top, using to foam pads to fix it in place.
I completed my card with a mermaid and fish cut from black card.
If you fancy seeing just how versatile the Blue Christmas box is, there is still some stock on the website.
