Welcome May
Hello!
Today is the 1st day of May. The sun may be shining and the sky may be blue, but the temperature isn’t playing the game – it was only 2 degrees when OH checked the outdoor thermometer just after 8am this morning!
When you order your ‘Hello Spring’ craft box there’s a drop down box where you can choose the stencil to be included in your box. Mine is the lovely flower design, and I’ve used it to form the centrepiece of this card
To begin with I stencilled the flower on to a spare piece of paper and cut around the edge of the design to create a mask. I stencilled the first (pink) flower onto some white card, then taped the paper mask over the pink area while I stencilled the yellow version. I did the same for the peach flower, but also used some extra scraps of sticky backed paper to cover any other sections I didn’t want to spoil – I should probably just have cut a second mask really.
I inked up both sides of some pieces of white Bazzill card in the same colours and used these to die cut my flower shapes. Once I’d shaped the petals with a ball tool and foam mat glued the petals together, I just needed to decide where to place them and add a few matching pearls to complete the design.
