Small Scale Art with Carol
Today Guest Contributor Carol is back with another beautiful little project.
You know, we love to find ways to use as much of the Through the Letterbox craft boxes as possible, so that rectangle of thick card in the ‘Hello Spring’ box which was used to keep the fabric pieces nice and flat was crying out to be ‘artified’ – and that’s what Carol did when she created this fabulous miniature artwork
Here’s Carol to tell us how:
I used the thick cardboard backing from the material pack as the base for my next project!
I cut pieces of differing sizes from the patterned paper and layered these onto the base, using multi medium to adhere them.
Once I was happy with how the background looked another layer of multi medium was added over the top.
Once dry each piece was outlined using an Aquarellable pencil.
I coloured some texture paste using some liquid acrylic ink and added these to the base using the Hero Arts stencil that was in my box (you get a choice of stencils when you order this box) in the pack.
The wooden butterflies and leaf were coloured using distress ink. The piece was finished off by adding a few of the little flowers.
