Hello, Carol with you today.
Journalling is now very popular and Bubbly Funk has its own journal available here, called Discovering Daisy.
The cover is of sturdy greyboard, this grey board will take all sorts of media be it paint, water, glues, glazes, mattes, so you can decorate it anyway you like without worrying if it will get damaged.
Inside you have a wide variety of journalling elements.
One week per month I will share with you how my journal is progressing.
This month I’m sharing how I’m decorating my cover – this needs a lot of work as there is a lot of drying time in between each layer, so the cover will be spread over two months.
I started off by removing my inner pages and putting them to one side. The inside was then painted black – this has had two coats
Once painted, a squiggly line in white posca pen will be added with blocks in white being added.
That is my inside finished for the time being.
The outer cover was given a coat of tinting base, but, this could quite easily have been gesso or white/cream acrylic paint.
I then added some stamping using a versa mark ink pad and white wow embossing powder.
This is how my journal is currently looking.
Join me next month for the next stages.
