Discovering Daisy Journal – covers part 2

Hello Carol with you today.

Last month I started decorating my journal covers. This isn’t a job I wanted to rush, so have split it up over two months.

Here are the finished covers

inner cover – painted black with white paint pen doodling around the edges

A close up of the back page:-

texture added whilst the paint dried to give the back cover some depth
I started by painting the covers with a watered down acrylic paint in blue
Once dry, I added further colour to make the cover look “old” – I added various elements to the covers to add some texture – more was added to the back page as I didn’t intend to decorate it as much as the flaps and front cover.

To finish off the covers I added some metal and letter embellishments, and some gold paint doodling to add some hi-lights.

I’m really pleased with the way the covers have turned out, and the white embossing on the cover has shown thro’ well with the paint.
