Tutorial – Create Art

Hello, Carol with you this rather strange Wednesday. Is anyone like me and working from home? I must say that yesterday was my first day, the sun was shining and the sky was really blue, what’s happening to us seems really surreal. If you’re at home, why not sit and play in your craft room/area, that’s what I did at the weekend and made this

I was sent the Indigo-blu mixed media media box kit, available here. It has so many fabulous elements it will keep you busy creating for hours. The stamps alone are a great main go to when you’re creating.

I started off by creating a template for my card. I used a circle die and cut from an abandoned card base. I then used distress inks and blended together.

When removed it looks like this

I put the template back to create some background stamping, using the stamps from the kit

I then stamped the large winged pencil to the circle at an angle. The text is also from the stamps.

As a DT, we have been challenged to use the bee die that came with the set on our next three projects. So, this is project number 3 using the bee die. I coloured some spare card using the same distress inks and die cut the bee, some distress ink was added around the edges, with Stickles being added to the wings and some glossy accents to his body.

My finished card, along with my table where I “create art” or a mess!! lol

Stay safe everyone!

See you next Wednesday. xx
